League Definitions

All leagues are determined by player grade, as of June 1, 2008. If a player wants to participate in a league higher than their age, the recommendation must be given, in person,at a SCBA Board of Directors scheduled meeting.

Ragball, Age 4 Thru Pre-Kindergarten (Coed)
TBall, Kindergarten (Coed)
Coach Pitch, Grades 1 and 2
Minors, Grades 3 and 4
Majors, Grades 5 and 6
Juniors, Grades 7 and 8
Seniors, Grades 9 thru 12

Baseball Registration Fees

All player registration fees may be mailed to the following address: Springboro Clearcreek Baseball Association, PO Box 123, Springboro, Ohio 45066. Please include with your payment a copy of your registration receipt and place your child's/children's confirmation number on the check or money order. (The confirmation number is the sequence of numbers is similar to SCBAxxxxxxxxx.)

Baseball Player Evaluation

All Baseball players participating in Majors and Minors, need to attend the player evaluation. This will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2008 and Saturday, February 16, 2008, from 8:00 am to 11:30 a.m. at Get Game, Sports, 285A Hiawatha Trail, Springboro, Ohio. The player does NOT attend for the entire four hours. It will take approximately 30 minutes for the player to go through five stations for evaluation. The five stations: running, fielding, throwing, catching, and hitting. The players will be evaluated by persons not coaching in the league.

Baseball Draft

There is no Baseball Draft for players in the Ragball, TBall, and Coach Pitch leagues. Currently, the Baseball Draft is scheduled on Saturday, March 1, 2008. It will be conducted in the meeting room of Springboro Community National Bank. The Minors draft begins at 9:00 a.m., followed by the Majors at 11:30 a.m. For each baseball team, there are only three protections per team: A child of the head coach, assistant coach, and team sponsor. There will be NO trading at the conclusion of the draft.
